Tip: In Stans, on the sunny side of the Karwendel, mountain bike over the Heuberg to the rock monastery of St. Georgenberg. With motor support it is a little easier to get up to this well-known place of pilgrimage. Or go on an individual round trip from your hotel on an e-mountain bike to Tratzberg Castle, the Bucher Waterfall and Schwaz - cycle along the Inn back to Stans in a relaxed manner.

Water sports in Austria

Stand-up paddling: paddling with a SUP board on the shores of Lake Achensee or covering several kilometers? Ask the rental company about tour options. SUP rental stations are, for example, in Pertisau and Maurach.
Swimming: Lake Achensee can get up to 22°C in summer. There are beaches and bathing establishments in Maurach, Pertisau and Achenkirch.
Boating: You can rent rowing boats, pedal boats or canoes at Lake Achensee, for example from the boat rental in Pertisau.
Sailing: For sailing boats you need a valid boat license, which you can only get with a valid sailing license.

WindSurfing & KiteSurfing: Glide over the water with a surfboard. The Achensee water sports center in Maurach offers courses and equipment.
Diving: There are several popular diving spots on the east side of the lake. To dive at Lake Achensee you need individual diving permits that are valid for special zones.
Excursion boats: If you would like to take a leisurely cruise across Lake Achensee: How about a boat trip on Lake Achensee? The excursion ships leave from Pertisau.
